Whirlpool is one of the most popular home appliance brands in the world. Whether it’s a washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, range, or microwave – Whirlpool makes it. But even the best appliances eventually break down and need repair over time. We’ve done our fair share of Whirlpool repairs in the St. Louis Metro area and surrounding areas. We’re familiar with all Whirlpool appliance repairs and store replacement parts in our warehouse so we can get your repair done fast. Let’s take a look at popular Whirlpool appliances and some common repairs we see.
Whirlpool Washer Repairs
One of the most typical washer repairs we see is a washer that has stopped draining. The first thing we look at in this case is your drain pump. Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. If the pump is free of obstructions, but it is still noisy and not draining, we’ll replace it. Other things we look for are clogged pumped, hose, and the lid switch assembly.
Whirlpool Dryer Repairs
A lot of our dryer repairs are for dryers that are taking too long to dry. When you feel like your dryer is taking too long to dry, it could be an airflow problem. If the vent is clogged or partially clogged, it will restrict airflow through the dryer, and increase dry time. You should clean your dryer’s venting system at least once a year to prevent this issue. If the airflow isn’t obstructed, we’ll look at the blower wheel, gas valve solenoid, heating element, and several other possible causes.
Whirlpool Refrigerator Repairs
When it comes to refrigerator repairs, a common complaint is that the fridge isn’t cooling. Like all appliance repairs, there could be many things causing the problem, but we always start with the simplest and easiest fix and work our way down. The first thing we do is look at the condenser coils to see if they’re clean. They’re located under the refrigerator in most cases. Over the years, debris can build up on the coils causing the refrigerator to become less efficient and work hard to cool.
Whirlpool Dishwasher Repairs
A common dishwasher complaint we get is when the dishwasher stops drying the dishes. For this repair, the list of possible issues isn’t too long. Usually, it’s the vent, vent fan motor, heating element, or heating element assembly. The first thing we’ll look at is the vent. If the vent isn’t opening properly, the hot, steamy air generated during the rinse cycle will have no escape and leave moisture on your dishes.
