Everyone is familiar with Whirlpool home appliances. Whether it’s a washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, range, or microwave, Whirlpool makes a quality model. But like all well-made things, even Whirlpool needs repairs over time. We’ve completed many Whirlpool repairs in Omaha over the past 45 years. We’re familiar with all Whirlpool appliance repairs and store plenty of replacement parts in our warehouse to expedite repairs. Here are some common Whirlpool appliance problems and solutions.

Whirlpool Dryer Taking Too Long to Dry

If you feel like your dryer is taking too long to dry, there’s a good chance you have an airflow problem. A clogged or partially clogged vent will restrict airflow and increase. The first thing to do is clean your dryer’s venting system. This should be done at least one time per year. If it’s not an airflow obstruction, we will look at your blower wheel, gas valve solenoid, heating element, and a few other areas.

Whirlpool Washer Stopped Draining

If your washer stops draining, the first thing to look at is your drain pump. Sometimes, small objects or even clothing can get caught in the drain pump. If the pump is free of obstructions, but still not draining, we’ll replace it for you. We’ll first rule out clogged pumps, hoses, and the lid switch assembly before replacing your pump.

Whirlpool Fridge Stopped Cooling

If your fridge stopped cooling or isn’t cooling correctly, the first thing to look at is your condenser coils. They’re located under the refrigerator in most cases. Over the years, dust and debris build up on the coils and cause the fridge to become less efficient and work harder to cool. If they’re dirty, they will need to be cleaned.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Not Drying Dishes

Poorly dried dishes is one of the most common issues we see when dealing with dishwasher repair. If your dishes aren’t drying completely, it may be the vent, vent fan motor, heating element, or heating element assembly. We first look at the vent. If the vent is malfunctioning, the hot, steamy air generated during the rinse cycle can’t escape, and it will leave moisture on your dishes.
