When Do you Need Dishwasher Repair Service?

There are a variety of common dishwasher issues that can warrant a service call and repair for your dishwasher. Here’s a list of some of the most common reasons you might need a dishwasher repair.

  • Dishwasher Not Cleaning Well
    A variety of reason can contribute to this including a malfunctioning strain screen, sprayer arms, or door gasket.
  • Dishwasher Not Draining
    The first thing to look at in this case is the check valve in the drain sump. If it’s not that, it’s likely the pump or motor.
  • Dishwasher won’t Start
    Bad or faulty fuses and circuit breakers are the first places to look. Faulty latch doors can also lead to a non-starting dishwasher.
  • Noisy Dishwasher
    A defective pump, wash arm seal, or bearing ring are all possible culprits. Malfunctioning spray arms are also a possibility.

Why isn’t my dishwasher draining all the way?

It could be your pump seal, faulty latch on the door, a clogged drain hose, or an electrical problem.

Why isn’t my dishwasher fully drying my dishes?

The problem could be as simple as an overloaded dishwasher. Make sure to leave space between dishes. Opening the door for a few minutes to let out trapped condensation helps too. If you try these steps and your dishes are still very wet after a heat dried load then you may have an issue that needs professional attention.
