Frequently Asked Questions about U-Line Appliance Repairs
Why isn’t my U-Line fridge cooling?
There could be a number of reasons. Dirty condenser coils, condenser fan motor, evaporator fan motor, or your start relay could be the issue.
Why did my U-Line ice maker stop making ice?
If the freezer temp is above 10 degrees Fahrenheit the ice maker will not produce ice cubes efficiently.
U-Line ice maker still isn’t working after temperature adjustment.
A clogged water filter can restrict the flow of water to your ice maker and keep it from working properly. Make sure to replace the water filter every six months to maintain water flow and quality.
How do I self-test my U-Line ice maker?
Remove the front plastic square cap and make sure the ice machine is turned on and your water line is installed. Use a 5/16” nut drivers to slowly turn your drive gear Clock Wise. After a 1/4 turn the ice maker motor will start turning on its own. If there is ice in the ice maker the gears will go back and forth trying to harvest the ice. There is a small heater under the ice tray that warms up to help release the ice. If the ice maker can’t harvest the ice, then this heater is defective and should be replaced.
