We Know Bosch Appliances

Bosch is a German company that has been making home appliances for 125 years with manufacturing of their dishwashers and other appliances in  New Bern, North Carolina. Bosch  recalled 469,000 dishwashers because the power cord can overheat and catch fire. The recall includes models manufactured over a span of seven years from January 2008 to January 2017 and sold for $850 to $2,600. The cords must be changed out with another cord that Bosch provides.  There is no fee for the customer.   If you have a Bosch dishwasher please call Bosch to confirm that your appliance is included in the recall. If so, Bosch will give you a reference code.  Once you have the code you can call Andy’s and we’ll schedule a time to come out and replace the power cord system for you.

Frequently Asked Questions about Bosch Appliances

Why is there water left in the bottom of my Bosch dishwasher?

One of the most common reasons for water at the bottom of your dishwasher is because food particles or other debris have clogged the drainage system. Check the dishwasher drain and clean the drain basket around the lower sprayer arm, unclogging debris with a wire hanger.

Why is my Bosch ice maker not making ice?

If the water inlet valve is defective, or if it has insufficient pressure, it won’t allow water to flow through. As a result, the ice maker won’t make ice.

Why does my Bosch dishwasher leak?

If the wash arm support is loose, water can spray out between the wash arm support and the lower pump housing, causing waves. These waves can cause water to leak out of the bottom of the door.

How do I reset my Bosch ice maker?

Unplug the refrigerator for 30 seconds; then plug it back in. Within 15 seconds of restoring power, press the feeler arm three times in succession. This should force the ice maker to run water into the reservoir and begin the cycle of ice production.

How do you reset a Bosch refrigerator?

Switch the refrigerator off and wait five minutes. Switch the refrigerator on again. Press the “Select” and “Options” buttons at the same time for five seconds.
