We Know Frigidaire Appliances
Frigidaire is the US consumer and commercial home appliance brand subsidiarity of European parent company Electrolux. Frigidaire was originally founded as the Guardian Refrigerator Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana and developed the first self-contained refrigerator back in 1916. William Durant, founder of General Motors personally invested in the company and in 1919 it adopted the name Frigidaire. From 1919 to 1979 the company was owned by General Motors. In 1986 Electrolux was purchased by its current parent, Electrolux.
Today, Frigidaire appliances are manufactured in Springfield Tennessee or their large facility in Northern Mexico since 2005. They continue to improve and innovate their broad line of home appliances to include refrigerators, ovens, stove and stove tops, washing machines and dryers, warming drawers and more.
