Frequently Asked Questions about KitchenAid

Why is my KitchenAid dishwasher not starting?

If your dishwasher won’t start, the problem could be the door latch or door latch switches. The door latch assembly is used to hold the door closed during the cycle to prevent water from leaking and it also incorporates the door latch switches that supply power to the dishwasher controls.

How do you reset your KitchenAid dishwasher?

Try pressing the “Start/Reset” pad to reset the dishwasher and wait 2 minutes. If the problem persists, reset the dishwasher by turning off power to the unit at the house circuit breaker/fuse box for 30 seconds. Restore power and the dishwasher should function normally.

How long is the KitchenAid refrigerator warranty?

KitchenAid offers a two year limited warranty on their refrigerators.

How do I reset my KitchenAid refrigerator filter?

The filter status light can be reset by pressing the filter reset button on the display and holding it until the light turns off. This will reset the refrigerator’s system. You can also press the water filter button for three seconds.

Why is my KitchenAid refrigerator running but not cooling?

Clogged coils can cause poor cooling. Check to make sure nothing is stuck in the condenser fan and that it spins freely. To do this, unplug the fridge and pull it out. Plug in the fridge and make sure the fan runs when the compressor is running.
