The Difficult Dishwasher

Laborious Liquid Lifter of Lincoln
March 22nd, 2023 our technician arrived to diagnose a Jennair dishwasher. The customer was having issues with the unit coming back to life after a cycle was completed, running cycle after cycle until someone opened the door. Our tech found the error codes for F2E1 and F5E1 stored in the control. Using these error codes as clues, and his diagnostic skills he found it was the main control in combination with the user interface control causing the issues. Once these two controls had been replaced, our technician found a new set of error codes stating the door was stuck closed. After checking the door latch, he found that it too was out of spec, and must be replaced. Finally, he replaced the door latch and all was good, right? Wrong! He had replaced the correct parts that had failed, but did not consider the fact that these were WIFI enabled controls. The issue was with the WIFI connection, and it was kicking the dishwasher into cycle without anyone asking it to. Since these were WIFI compatible controls, they had to be replaced using a specific process so that they would connect, correctly. One specific control had to be replaced, then energized, then de-energized, before the second control could be installed, and then energized. It was a process, but the dishwasher is now fully functioning and the customer is happy! All thanks to our Columbia Missouri Andy's Appliance Repair Team! Our dryer was on the fritz...not hearing and the controls are just blinking. We of course called Andy's Appliance Repair. They sent a technician right over and performed a full diagnosis on the dryer, determining we needed a new thermostat and heater. After replacing both parts they ran the dryer through another diagnostic cycle to make sure it was fixed. The customer now has a full one year parts and labor warranty.

Keeping your home appliances efficient isn’t just good for the environment — it’s also a smart way to lower monthly utility bills. At Andy’s Appliance Repair Omaha, we help families get the most out of their appliances while reducing energy costs. One of the easiest ways to save energy is by maintaining your refrigerator. Dirty condenser coils force the unit to work harder, wasting electricity. A quick cleaning every few months can make a big difference. Dishwashers also benefit from regular maintenance. Running full loads, using the eco‑cycle, and checking for clogged filters ensures optimal performance while cutting water and power use. For ranges and ovens, replacing worn heating elements and keeping seals tight prevents heat loss, which means faster cooking and less wasted energy. Preventive care is key. Scheduling routine service not only extends the life of your appliances but also keeps them running at peak efficiency. Our expert technicians provide reliable repairs backed by trusted warranties, helping Omaha households save money year after year. Whether it’s a minor tune‑up or a major repair, Andy’s Appliance Repair is your local partner for energy‑smart solutions. Call today to start saving energy and keeping your home efficient.
